Janet Limon
Tish Minear
Tish Minear and Janet Limon are sisters who grew up together on the eastern plains of Colorado. As third-generation Colorado natives, they have had the opportunity to travel extensively in their home state, as well as the other Four Corners states of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Their first writing collaboration was on a 1990 travel guide entitled The Southwest: A Family Adventure, which grew out of a recent vacation they had taken together with their children. This was followed by the first edition of Discover Native America: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah, published by Hippocrene Books in 1995. Their most recent guidebook is the updated 2009 edition of that title.
Minear is a former journalist and newspaper columnist, a certified yoga teacher and former yoga studio owner, and a community educator. She lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Limon is a retired fifth-grade teacher who has also been active with gifted and talented programs and curriculum development. She lives in Longmont, Colorado. The two women are currently enjoying the time they have to devote to travel and writing, including their collaborations on a 7-novel series and a family travel guide to Colorado.
